The Greatness of God

Who can describe the greatness of God
Or ascribe to his majesty?
He's beyond comprehension and understanding
Personified deity

Enthroned in the heavens and worshipped by all
He is the light on the throne
The river of life flows from within
And greater love mankind has not known

He holds the oceans in his hands
The hands that flung stars into space
He painted the rainbow in the sky
Showing the promise of his grace

He called into being all that we see
Such extravagant beauty abounds
He's amazing, he's wonderful beyond any description
That could possibly ever be found

He fashioned mankind from the dust of the earth
And into his nostrils breathed breath
He numbered our days in his very own book
From our birth until our death

There is nothing or no-one who could express
The honour and praise due to him
Majestic in holiness awesome in glory
Resplendently loving all things

No power is greater, who could compare
To the greatest of greats, the 'I AM'?
No God came before or will follow him
For it's all in his perfect plan
