Pondering

The wind has died down and twilight's approaching
The clouds are held captive just where they are
It is as if time is completely suspended
I watch the light fading awaiting the stars

Winter's approaching, the temperature's dropping
Hats, boots and scarves are needed again
Thick winter coats are brought out of the cupboards
Ready for all the season will bring

The last of the summer flowers still blooming
Hoping the frost will not come and destroy
The beauty of God's great abundance for us
To still look and simply enjoy

Each season has its own natural beauty
The flowers in summer and leaves in the fall
The snow in the winter and bulbs in the spring-time
Completing the cycle that God has installed
